Partnering with Thrillist, Coke set out on the ultimate food adventure. Along our journey, we hit every major culinary region across the country, making stops in 4 different key cities. In each city, we explored a new restaurant that is reimagining an American classic — whether it was a new take on the deep dish in Chicago or an unexpected update to the burrito in California. We explored it in NY, Dallas, Nashville and LA.
At each stop, we sat down with the restaurant’s chef to talk about their restaurant, their history, and their perspective on their craft. We invited them to tell the story behind a dish — its storied past and connection to American culture, why the chef decided to experiment with it, how he or she has honored the past while taking things to the future, and why even in the dish’s new-style iteration, Coke is still its perfect partner.
